Preface

This information is only relevant to foreign expert card holders.


The following information is provided by ISQ's HR department—in particular, our HR assistant Cindy Sun. In the event that any of the following information is unclear or confusing, please notify the HR department so that we can update the information in order to help assist people better in the future.


Report of adoption

Required documents:

  1. Inside of China adoption required documents:
    1. Notary of adoption certificate
    2. Notary of birth certificate – Notary of abandon certificate The orphanage or related adoption government departments will arrange the process for you.
    3. In order not to affect your international traveling, we suggest you to get the child a passport as soon as possible
    4. As soon as you received the above documents, please send the originals to the HR assistant's office (Cindy Sun) as well as the child’s digital picture, 2 passport size photos and your passport.


    The HR department will start to apply for a membership card and the Chinese residence permit/permanent visa for the baby


  2. Outside China adoption required documents:
    1. Authenticated American birth certificate
    2. If the child has an American passport, you should apply a L/S1 visa for him/her to come to China. Meanwhile, someone from HR will have to meet you to collect the child’s passport in 24 hours for police station registration.
    3. Send the child’s digital picture, 2 passport size photos and your passport to the HR assistant
    4. In case, the child doesn’t own an American passport, besides the authenticated birth certificate, you also have to show anther document which can prove the child’s official identity.


    As soon as we receive the above documents and your passport, we will start to apply for a family membership card and residence permit/Chinese permanent visa for the baby before the L/S1 visa expired date.


Report of birth (Both parents U.S. citizens)

Required documents

  1. If your baby is born inside China Please deliver the following documents to the HR assistant's office within 6 weeks after the baby was born
    1. Passport
    2. Digital picture as well as 2 passport size photos
    3. The baby’s Chinese birth certificate
    4. Your passport


    As soon as we received the above documents from you, we will start to apply for a membership card for the baby which will take at least 10 working days.


    The Qingdao enter/exit administration manage bureau requires us to submit all the above documents within 8 weeks after the baby is born. So, please do deliver the above documents to the HR assistant's office within 6 week after your baby was born.


  2. If your baby is born outside of China
    1. After you receive a passport for the baby, please apply for a L/S1 visa in order for the baby to come to China
    2. The HR assistant will have to meet you in 24 hours in order to collect the baby’s passport for police station registration
    3. Please get a Chinese Embassy authenticated birth certificate for the baby—this document can only be done outside of China—for example, if the baby is American, the authenticated birth certificate should be done in the States
    4. Deliver the above documents as well as the baby’s Digital pictures ,2 passport size photos and your passport to the HR assistant's office once you’re in China


    As soon as we receive the above documents from you, we will start to apply for a family membership card and residence permit/Chinese permanent visa for the baby before the L/S1 visa expired date.


Report of birth (International Marriage)

Required documents

  1. If your baby is a Chinese, no documents are required for the baby.
  2. If your baby is not a Chinese and is born in China Please deliver the following documents to the HR assistant's office within 6 weeks after the baby was born:
    1. Passport
    2. Digital picture as well as 2 passport size photos
    3. The baby’s Chinese birth certificate
    4. Your passport


    As soon as we received the above documents from you, we will start to apply for a membership card for the baby which will take at least 10 working days.

    We will also keep your passport (full time working staff) in the HR assistant's office until all the related process finishes.
